The Mission of the American Academy of Art is to teach students the traditional and contemporary skills of the professional artist to enable them to pursue careers in art. Since it's inception in 1976 as the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University/Chicago is committed to a practitioner model of professional training, which integrates theory and practice. East-West University has been providing quality education since 1980. The University is strategically located in the South Loop of downtown Chicago. The University facilities consist of two buildings, known as the East and West Buildings. The East Building faces Michigan Avenue and extends to the West Building on Wabash Avenue. Our facilities accommodate 4 computer labs, an auditorium, cafeteria, student lounge, bookstore, library, electronics lab and several administrative offices.
