The Business Intelligence Analyst facilitates the development, adoption and use of enterprise data to enable and improve business operations and decision-making capability through Dashboarding and automated reporting. This position advises on best practices for BI content and development strategy. This person must excel with cross-functional engagement to drive adoption and contributes to development of value-add BI products. The Business Intelligence Analyst engages with stakeholders to gain an understanding of their BI goals and objectives and supports the development of dashboards, BI standards and proactive maintenance.

As Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Maintain our suite of existing BI products and the enhancement lifecycle.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to develop value-add reporting to support Finance.
  • Work cross-functionally to gather requirements for new BI products and change requests/enhancements to existing products.
  • Partner with FTT Project Management and Product Owners to support data projects and the product development lifecycle.
  • Write specifications, develop visualization concepts, artifact and contribute to the Business Intelligence roadmap.
  • Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards related to effectively managing an analytics technology platform based on Power BI and an Enterprise Data Warehouse on Snowflake and/or SQL Server Database
  • Develop SME knowledge of Finance data to support our data customers and consult others regarding BI strategy.
  • Advise leadership in establishing and refining dashboarding strategy and scalability.
  • Pro-actively monitor & report on the BI platform, provide visibility into resource utilization, identify and recommend areas of improvement
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their specific reporting needs and requirements, and develop interactive reports and dashboard using the Microsoft Power BI platform
  • Evaluate and report on effectiveness and usability of solutions based on quantitative usage data and qualitative discussions with end-users and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with technical team in specifying data needs for solutions and provide associated ETL requirements for Data Warehouse, Data Mart, SharePoint List, or other structured data sources
  • Collaborate with data architect(s) to identify systems of record for key enterprise data, define data cleansing and completeness processes for source systems

Job Specifications:

  • Experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft analytics technologies - specifically Power BI
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, SQL and database concepts
  • Knowledge of other M365 technologies
  • Knowledge of change management around adopting a large-scale analytics program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence and reporting

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$83,400 - $139,000
